Lesson description

This lesson kicks off with a whirlwind musical video covering more than 150 years of British royalty, rebellions, and restorations, before the activities delve in for a closer look at the monarchs and the impact their reigns had on the politics of the country.

This lesson contains:

  • The chronology of the Tudor and Stuart eras from the birth of the Tudors at the Battle of Bosworth, 1485 to the Glorious Revolution in 1688.
  • An introduction to every monarch from the first Tudor, Henry VII, to the Stuart power couple, William of Orange and Mary II.
  • The influential political and religious changes, starting with the English Reformation and ending with the Protestant coup to overthrow the James II.
