At the dawn of the 18th century Britain ran on farming and cottage industries. Less than 200 years later, it was an industrial powerhouse run on factories and railways. This lesson kicks off with a bang, covering the biggest inventions and characters of the Industrial Revolution.

  • An exploration of the key characters and inventions that fuelled the Agricultural and Industrial Revolution, from Jethro’s seed drill to Brunel’s Victorian railways.
  • An analysis of the most valuable contributions of the Industrial Revolution, in terms of the societal and industrial problems that each development was aiming to fix.
